Floral Paisley Background Reusable Silk Screen Stencil

Create richly detailed floral designs with this Floral Paisley Background Reusable Silk Screen Stencil. The continuous pattern combines layered flowers, paisley shapes, leaves, curls, dots and decorative linework in one intricate background design.

The large repeating composition gives you considerable flexibility. Print the complete pattern across a larger glass panel, or place smaller pieces of glass beneath selected areas of the screen to capture individual flowers, paisley motifs or leaf arrangements. This allows you to create coordinated pieces while giving each project a different appearance.

The design works well for fused glass panels, bowls, dishes, ornaments, jewelry, suncatchers, garden art and mixed-media projects. Its mixture of floral and paisley elements can create either a bold graphic result or a softer decorative effect, depending on the enamel colour and glass selected.

How to Use the Design

Place the silk screen directly on top of the glass or other project surface. Apply a suitable screen-printing medium over the screen and pull the medium across the design using a squeegee.

For a larger panel, place the full piece of glass beneath the screen. For smaller projects, position individual pieces beneath different sections to capture selected flowers, leaves or paisley motifs. The same screen can therefore produce many coordinated but distinctly different designs.

Because this screen contains fine lines and closely spaced details, use smooth, even squeegee pressure and avoid applying excessive enamel paste. Clean the screen promptly after printing to help prevent the detailed openings from becoming blocked.

For best results, use this screen with ColorFire Glass Enamels and a 6-inch squeegee.

Screen Care

Clean the silk screen promptly after printing according to the included instructions. Allow it to dry completely before returning it to its backing sheet. Store the screen flat and protected from dust, heat and direct sunlight.
